Social activities

Coombe Wood is a friendly club and has a lively social calendar:

Barbeques
During the summer months there is a barbeque fortnightly after social tennis on a Wednesday and often after the informal tournaments. See the club calendar for dates. Bring your own food and cook it using the club facilities.

Quizes and special events
Each year we run events such as quiz evenings or race nights. These are great fun and generally include an informal pizza and salad supper.

Bridge Evenings
We ran a "Bridge for Beginners" class in 2007 and now hold regular Bridge evenings at the club on Tuesdays.

Parties
Finals Day in July is rounded off with the Award Ceremony followed by dinner and dancing. This is the main event of the year and is always great fun and well attended. We usually hold a Christmas/New Year party – otherwise it’s such a long time till the next one on Finals Day! This is not to say that there are not several informal, spur of the moment little parties that happen from time to time, just because – we love parties!
