Want to play at Wimbledon?

During the winter months Coombe Wood gets an allocation of courts at the All England Club’s superb indoor facility on Somerset Road, Wimbledon. We allocate these to individual members willing to take responsibility for organizing a group of 4 to 6 players for an evening of tennis.

Sessions last from 8pm to 10pm at a cost of £12 per hour. The dates available are:

24th November - allocated
1st December – allocated team practice
22nd December - allocated
5th January - allocated
19th January - allocated
2nd February – open for team practice
23rd February - allocated
1st March – open for team practice
22nd March -allocated

If you want to organize a group, sign up on the form opposite with your preferred dates. If multiple people sign up, a name will be drawn at random. We may also get courts at short notice on other dates. These will be notified by email.

Note:
In previous years it was not uncommon to find the adjacent court empty. If you take 6 players, there may be an (unofficial) opportunity for 1 pair to knock up or play singles while the others play doubles.
