Kingston's premier tennis club

For the first time in several years the weather was not a problem on finals day, except for those who found it too hot!

Tim Sagar made it 7 in a row when he won the men's singles event. The ladies' singles was a tense 3 set match, won by recent joiner, Sophie George.

Sophie went on to partner men's finalist Jonathon Yates who won the mixed doubles in another 3 set match.

The men's doubles final was an entertaining encounter with Ollie and Harry Lloyd beating veterens Mike Fisher and Bob Blundon. The ladies' doubles was won by Natasha Gledhill and Sam Bingham.

Meanwhile the ever-popular plate competitions took place on court 6. The men's plate was won by Tony Hall and Malcolm Alexander. The mixed plate winners were the mother and son team of Rachael and Tom Nichols. The ladies plate was not played as one of the finaslists could not make the event.

The trophies were awarded at the finals night party which this year had a 60s theme.
